Pick a Side
"The sneaker game has changed, which side are you on?"
Today - 2021
How do you feel about
sneaker reselling?
Are you for it or against it? Should we be hateful or thankful?
Let's keep it real, nobody is upset at resell. You're mad at the prices of resell. That's it.
The truth is: if you got Stock X, Goat app, or anything like it, you've already picked.
Wait don't tell me.

  • You got a sneaker plug? Ok then sit this one out, you've already made your decision.
  • You know a guy? We all do, so in that case you already know what side of the fence you reside on.
Let's keep it real, nobody is upset at resell. You're mad at the prices of resell. That's it.
Don't overthink it, don't get analytical and all in your feelings about it. It's just that simple. I could've put this article in a tweet and called it a day, but that's not how things work around here.
Now that we've got that out the way. Let's begin.

Everyone should be [for] resellers. Yes, each and every one of you. For my OG's, name that childhood pair that you couldn't afford as a child. Now reminisce how good it felt to finally have that pair in your hands.
What did that shoe mean to you? What made it so great that you didn't let it go?

    They ain't put a gun
    to your head
    and say "buy it".

You put the gun to your
    bank account
    and pressed "withdraw"
    Take a minute, go ahead.

Now....once you take that awkward smile off your face and come back to the present, how did you get that special pair?

The employee from Just For Feet didn't take your number down and sell it to you as a whole adult a decade later did they? No, chances are you copped from who? A reseller, right? I don't see you throwing shade at the person who sold it to you either. Hell you probably made a post shouting them out. I know I do. Why, because I'm thankful. Fact of the matter is, you had to have it and got it. What's crazier is....you paid the price. You! Yes, you accepted the inflation. They ain't put a gun to your head and say "buy it". You put the gun to your bank account and pressed "withdraw". Hypothetically, of course. Unless you're about that life?
And this is as fashionable as it gets my fellow sneakerheads.
    REWIND TO 2008
    Back in the day
Jordan Releases - How we copped?
Jordan brand releases the CDP packs. Arguably the best year in sneakers for me.

And look what we had here, the Jordan 19s. The same pair, the same color way, the same everything, except the price tag (310$ USD).

    Mom said "No".

    L number 2!

And for you difficult ones, that ain't a Google fact check for the year or price. That's...I just opened my closet and peeped the tag. PS...yes. I just flexed on you with a shoe you don't even like or respect.

    DREAMS REALLY DO COME TRUE

"Our current state sucks. Let's look for something interesting in the past. Let's pretend the past is still here."
    2010
    Flight Club Arrives
    We finally get the retros
That's the day I finally got the shoe. Flight club LA had them and I spent my whole check on them. Minimum wage was like 7$, so after 400$ plus shipping, it was my whole weeks pay and then some.

Flight Club LA didn't bully me into a sale, I didn't complain about the inflation, nor did I barter. I paid the price.

It was that important to me. Without them, who knows how long I would've waited. This shoe hasn't retro'd since. So...Thank you resale, thank you for everything. That shoe is still in my collection til this day. It's that crucial.
    Life is good
    Where we are today
Don't have to be an OG
Now maybe you're not an OG, I don't consider myself one, but I have stripes (no pun intended). You could've just started a collection last year or last week.

The harsh reality of joining this community is that an L is inevitable and when you have to have it, after it's gone; where do you go?

A reseller. That can be your friend, a store, a website, just don't buy from the guy trying to DM you that he has Off-White 4s in a 11.5 for 300$. That's a scam. It's also my current inbox right now lol.
If you're still unsure on what side you sit comfortable on. Please reach out to me. I would love to see the process you have to own every pair you wanted at retail.

I'm not being sarcastic either. If you've never took an L on what you wanted, I need your method. Secrets safe with me.
